Georgia Tech Football Recruiting: Six options at quarterback in 2019
OFFERED: Jadarious Martin – Wetumpka, AL (Wetumpka)
The second quarterback out of Alabama that the Jackets recently offered, Martin hails from Wetumpka, Alabama which is just a ninety minute drive down the road from fellow offered quarterback Peter Parrish.
Martin doesn’t have as strong of an offer list as Parrish but still has a few notable offers including Florida Atlantic, Indiana, Ole Miss, and Tennessee. Martin has seen his recruitment pick up recent however as he has received seven offers since the beginning of the month.
The 6-foot-0, 185-pound quarterback is ranked as the 19th best dual threat quarterback in the country according to 247Sports composite rankings and a top 1,000 player in the country. He recently won the Fever Star Athlete of the Year, the annual award given out to the best athlete in Fever County, Alabama.
Martin’s amassed 3,700 total yards and 36 touchdowns this past season including 2,400 yards and 24 touchdowns on the ground alone according to the article from WSFA. From a profile point of view, Martin fits the Jackets triple-option offense near perfectly. At 6-foot-0, 185-pounds he fits the Jackets usual mold at quarterback and has great speed. His HUDL tape shows his ability to read opposing defenses, find holes, and make smart decisions. On tape, Martin seems like a perfect fit for the Jackets offense and could be a quarterback the Jackets recruit hard as the cycle continues.
