2020- G Reece Beekman

The Yellow Jackets offered Baton Rouge, Louisiana native Reece Beekman this past week. According to Beekman’s twitter profile, it appears to be the 2020 recruit’s second offer, as in-state Tulane offered Beekman in December.

Other programs that have appeared to show interest in Beekman include Texas A&M, a school he’s already made at least one visit to as well as Wisconsin.

Beekman plays for Scotlandville in Baton Rouge, a program that has dominated the state and has won three state titles in the last for years. Beekman was the MVP of this year’s Louisiana LHSAA State title game for his 20-points offensively as well for shutting down the opposing team’s top scorer, who averaged 24 points per game this season.

Beekman will see his recruitment take off sooner than later as coaches wrap up their 2018 recruiting classes and put a bigger focus on the 2019 and 2020 recruiting classes later this spring and early summer. For Beekman, this may be the start of a crazy year and half to two years of recruitment.
