3) Following spring practices and the spring game, where do your expectations sit for the Yellow Jackets coming into the season?

Dylan:

The spring practices and spring game helped answer some questions we had about the program heading into the season but there are still plenty to be answered. The baseline right now in my mind for the Jackets is six-wins, a.k.a “bowl eligible”. That being said, there is no reason the Jackets can’t win eight or even nine games this upcoming season. If the defense can step it up to a new level under Nate Woody than the sky could be the limit in 2018 but that remains to be foreseen.

Blake:

I don’t see any reason Georgia Tech shouldn’t bounce back as a bowl team in 2018. They just have to start winning the close ones and protect their home turf.

Anthony:

I have high expectations for the Jackets this year. Like I said they were in position to win nearly every game they played last year and I think they fixed some of the problems that the team faced. A new defensive coordinator will bring new energy to a defense that needed it last season. I think Quon Marshall is poised for a huge season.

Lee:

I think following the spring game, and the positivity I have heard surrounding the defense as a whole makes them the thing that I look forward to most for the season. With that in mind, my expectations are pretty high. I don’t see any reason at all why 8 wins isn’t possible. A bowl berth at the very least should be where most of us are.
