Georgia Tech Football: Jackets set for another noon kickoff against USF
Any Georgia Tech Football fans traveling south to Tampa for the Jackets matchup against USF on September 8th will have to sit through another hot afternoon.
The Georgia Tech Football team has to travel south in September but they won’t be able to escape the September heat.
On Wednesday, the program announced that their matchup on September 8th against USF has been set for a noon kickoff. The game will be televised nationally on either ABC or ESPN2 depending on your viewing area.
For the Yellow Jackets, the noon kickoff means that each of the team’s first three games of the season will be kicking off at either noon or 12:30 pm. Their home opener against Alcorn State and their road trip to Pittsburgh for their third game of the season are both set for 12:30.
So far, the program has two games set for prime time kickoffs with their games against Louisville and Virginia Tech set for 7:00 and 7:30 pm respectively. Their October 5th, matchup against Louisville is also a Friday night. Their game in Blacksburg against Virginia Tech is scheduled for October 25th.
For Georgia Tech, noon kicks are no surprise and to many fans dismay especially when those games taking place in early and mid September.
For those fans traveling to Tampa, they can expect to be greeted by Temps in the high 80s to the low 90s. Though the high humidity and heat will surely lead fans to wanting at least some rain to fall on September 8th.
The Yellow Jackets will kick their 2018 season off on September 1st against the Alcorn State Braves.
