Georgia Tech offensive lineman Andrew Marshall returns from injury in 2018 after missing all of 2017 and will be a huge part in determining the Jackets level of success in 2018.

Expected to be a starting offensive lineman in 2018, redshirt senior Andrew Marshall is looking for a hue bounce back season after missing all of 2017 with an injury. The West Forsyth native was one of Georgia Tech’s most consistent offensive lineman when healthy prior to his injury and his return to form will be highly important for the Yellow Jackets in 2018.

What He did in 2017:

Unfortunately for Marshall, 2017 was a lost season. The now redshirt senior suffered an undisclosed foot injury during fall camp which would keep him out for the entire season, allowing him to have the decision to return in 2018 as a redshirt senior. That being said in 2016, Marshall was one of the Yellow Jackets best offensive lineman and was expected to be so in 2017. The injury however robbed Marshall of that opportunity.

What to Expect in 2018:

In 2018, Marshall will look to take back his starting role that he held in 2016 and would’ve held last season if it wasn’t for his injury. Marshall’s return surely will strengthen the Jackets offensive line which should help take the both the running game and passing game to the next level. Marshall will provide a strong senior presence on the offensive line and strengthens up the depth of the offensive line. Marshall’s abilities to stay healthy and perform at the level that Tech fans have seen him play in the fast will be vital to the offensive line’s success in 2018.

Marshall and the Yellow Jackets are working on getting ready for the season and more importantly Alcorn State on September 1st. The Braves will be looking to get revenge on the Yellow Jackets for a 69-6 defeat back in 2015.
