Wide Receivers: B+

Only two wide receivers got in on the action in Saturday’s win but overall the unit looked well though the blocking will have to improve. Senior wide receiver Brad Stewart entered the season expecting to be the top receiving threat and if Saturday was any indication, Stewart will be that guy in the receiving game for the Jackets. Stewart had four receptions on Saturday for 49-yards and a touchdown. The four receptions are a career high for the Savannah, Georgia native.

Jalen Camp, the potential breakout star for the Yellow Jackets offense brought in two receptions of his own and collected 23-yards. The two receptions eclipsed his career total of one reception, which he picked up against Virginia last season.

The rest of the rotation didn’t pick up any receptions but the blocking was just good enough for Alcorn State. They’ll need to make improvements, but those will come with time and experience.
