Will Blake Barnett finally live up the hype?

As we mentioned above Blake Barnett is a former five-star quarterback, and the Bulls are lucky to call him a part of their team. The former Alabama and Arizona State quarterback is now technically on his fourth college and his third FBS program with the Bulls. That being said, this is his first time in a while to show he can live up to the hype that comes with being a five-star recruit and one of the top quarterbacks in the nation.

Last weekend was a good effort from Barnett, completing over 70% of his passes while throwing for over 300-yards and having four total touchdowns. That was against Elon however and not an FBS level defense. This weekend will be a much bigger test for Barnett even with the Yellow Jackets having a young secondary.

For the Jackets, it’s a game of potential in terms of what to expect out of Barnett. If we’re going off last week, the Yellow Jackets are going to have their hands full but at the same time, Barnett truly hasn’t been tested since his days at Alabama and those were in his freshman season. In a way, Barnett’s game against the Yellow Jackets on Saturday could be his game where he tries to announce his presence once again to the college football world.
