ACC Football: Week Two predictions including Clemson vs Texas A&M
Georgia Tech may take on South Florida on Saturday but there is plenty of ACC football on Saturday from noon to midnight in week two.
Last week, we took a look at each game that an ACC football team was participating in. This week, we take a similar route of looking at each game but are also adding in our score predictions for each game this weekend. Going forward, this will be one of our faster reads each week as we give a thought or two on each game and our final score prediction as you will see below. Now, let’s start making some ACC football picks.
Duke at Northwestern – 12:00 pm
The Northwestern Wildcats dating back to last season are one of the hottest teams in the country and this week they’ll look to extend their winning streak to 10 games. Duke on the other hand is looking for a strong rebound season after a disappointing 2017. Neither team is crazy talented and this could be a game that goes down to the wire. Prediction: Northwestern 31 – Duke 21
Towson at Wake Forest – 12:00 pm
Wake Forest had a tough week one opponent in Tulane and just pulled out the win in overtime. This week they’ll have a much easier match up as they take on their FCS opponent of the season in Towson. The Demon Deacons should win rather comfortably in this one. Prediction: Wake Forest 38 – Towson 7
Georgia State at NC State – 12:30 pm
NC State got off to a 1-0 start last weekend but it wasn’t as easy as they probably expected as they beat James Madison 24-13. That being said, the Dukes of JMU may be a better team than Georgia State. This one should be quite easy for the Wolfpack on Saturday afternoon. Prediction: NC State 38 – Georgia State 14
Holy Cross at Boston College – 1:00 pm

Well….. this is going to be a boring affair. Perhaps Holy Cross can pull off an absolute shocking upset but I wouldn’t be banking on it. Prediction: Boston College 48 – Holy Cross 10
William & Mary at #12 Virginia Tech – 2:00 pm
Virginia Tech took care of Florida State last week with rather ease for the most part which means William & Mary should be a cakewalk for the 12th ranked Hokies. Prediction: Virginia Tech 51 – William & Mary: 6
North Carolina at East Carolina – 3:30 pm
North Carolina is coming off a close loss to Cal last weekend and is looking for their first win of the season. East Carolina lost their season opener to North Carolina AT&T which tells just how bad the Pirates are entering this contest. Prediction: UNC 27 – ECU 13
Wagner at Syracuse – 3:30 pm
Syracuse is a rather unpredictable team week-to-week, one week they can slay a college football giant and the next week look like a junior varsity team. That being said, they should have enough on talent alone to pull out a win over Wagner. Prediction: Syracuse 30 – Wagner 16
Savannah State at #22 Miami – 6:00 pm
Miami got their 2018 season off to a rough start last week as LSU completely dominated the Tigers from wire-to-wire. On Saturday, the Hurricanes will look to pick up a win as they face FCS Savannah State. The Hurricanes should be okay in this one… Prediction: Miami 58 – Savannah State 7
#2 Clemson at Texas A&M – 7:00 pm
Clemson travels to Texas A&M for their first test of the 2018 season and they’ll see a familiar foe in Jimbo Fisher on the Aggies sideline. The Tigers are one of the best teams in football and they’ll prove it again on the road against the Aggies. Prediction: Clemson 41 – Texas A&M 20
Indiana State at Louisville – 7:00 pm
At one point last week Louisville was tied with Alabama but then the game started. In all seriousness, Louisville last week had enough to hang with Alabama for a quarter before the Crimson Tide started to roll all the way back home from Orlando. This week perhaps Louisville will be on the other side of a game where one team gets rolled. Prediction: Louisville 48 – Indiana State 17
Samford at Florida State – 7:20 pm
Willie Taggert going for win #1 as Florida State’s head coach – take two. Monday’s performance against the Hokies wasn’t pretty for the Seminoles and while they’re working on a short week, I have a feeling they’ll be okay against Samford. Prediction: FSU 53 – Samford 3
Virginia at Indiana – 7:30 pm
One of the more interesting matchups on the week two slate, this game could honestly go either way for Virginia. Last season, the Cavaliers fell to the Hoosiers 34-17 and while I believe Indiana comes out with the wind, I think it will be a closer game this time around. Prediction: Indiana 27 – Virginia 24
Georgia Tech at USF – 12:00 pm
