Georgia Tech football will kick off their September 29th matchup against Bowling Green at high noon.

It will be another dreaded noon kickoff in the September heat for Georgia Tech fans as it was announced on Monday morning that the Yellow Jackets matchup against Bowling Green on September 29th will kickoff at noon. Bowling Green beat reporter Nick Piotowicz was the first to announce the kickoff time via his Twitter

The Yellow Jackets so far this season have started all three of their games at either 12:00 or 12:30. That being said, this upcoming weekend, the Jackets will take on the Clemson Tigers at 3:30 on ABC. The Jackets opened as a 16-point underdog against the Tigers, in what could be one of the biggest games of Paul Johnson’s tenure on The Flats.

The matchup between the Yellow Jackets and the Falcons will be the first ever meeting between the two programs. It will also be the first time the Jackets have ever played an opponent from the Mid-American Conference that consists of 12 schools that span from Buffalo, New York (Buffalo University) to DeKalb Illinois (Northern Illinois University).

So far this season, the Jackets are 1-1 in their non-conference schedule with a 41-0 win over Alcorn State (FCS) and a 49-38 loss to South Florida. The Jackets will of course have their annual rivalry game against Georgia at the end of the season.

Bowling Green entering this weekend is 1-2 with losses to Oregon and Maryland so far this season. They picked up their first win of the 2018 season, a 42-28 victory over Eastern Kentucky this past weekend.
