In leading up to this weekend’s game against the Clemson Tigers, we interviewed Clemson Tigers expert Andrew Boardwine on what Tech fans should expect from the third ranked Clemson Tigers.

The Georgia Tech football team has one of their biggest games of the season coming up on Saturday and it may take the perfect game from the Yellow Jackets to beat the Tigers. We interviewed Andrew Boardwine from our friends over at RubbingTheRock.com about what to expect from the Tigers this weekend.

Question 1: Starting off easy here, through the first three games of the season, how do the Tigers look and are they living up to expectations? How does this Clemson team compare o the team of the last few years?

AB: So far, there’s been some good and there’s been some bad with Clemson. What people don’t remember, though, is that’s just how the Tigers are every year. I can’t remember a year where Clemson got off to a fast start. They typically grind out a win over a solid opponent early and leave you less-than-satisfied against a lesser opponent early in the season. I think some of that is the fact that they choose not to run the entire offense.

It’s tough to tell so far how this Clemson football team compares to the teams of the last few years. The defensive line is the best that I’ve seen in my lifetime. The offense has plenty of playmakers, but they are still working out the kinks of a two-QB system. Overall, I think the Tigers have a great chance at getting back to the CFB Playoff, but there’s going to need to be some improvements, especially in the secondary and offensive line.
