Quick Hit #1: TaQuon Marshall’s best passing day:

TaQuon Marshall has taken a ton of criticism the last few weeks for his play and his passing abilities. On Saturday, he answered his critics by having his best day through the air as the Yellow Jackets starting quarterback.

Marshall against the Falcons secondary completed five of six passing attempts for 160-yards, an average of 26.7 yards per completion. His previous career high when throwing more than one pass attempt was a five-for-seven day for 112-yards against Jacksonville State in last year’s home opener.

For Marshall, the strong day through the air should be a boost of confidence for Marshall and should buy him some time from criticism. Marshall has always shown traits of being able to be a strong passer but has rarely shown the consistency throughout a game. Saturday’s game is a small step for Marshall but it’s in the right direction right when the Yellow Jackets need it the most.
