Georgia Tech Football: Five bold predictions for the remainder of the season
2) The Jackets have two, 1,000-yard rushers
Last season, the Yellow Jackets had two 1,000-yard rushers in TaQuon Marshall and KirVonte Benson. This season, I’m expecting the end results to be similar as I’m predicting both TaQuon Marshall and Jordan Mason will finish the season with 1,000+ rushing yards. What makes this a bold prediction? Well, as we pointed out in our first bold prediction, the Yellow Jackets will be facing some top-level defenses the rest of the season, which could create difficulties at times. However, I think the offense will continue taking steps forward, meaning both Marshall and Mason will see higher totals the rest of the way.
For both to reach 1,000 yards they would have to rush for 83.3 yards per game (Marshall) and 92.8 yards per game (Mason). While both are rather high numbers, I think both players have a great chance at reaching the 1,000-yard milestone over the course of the next six games.
Chance of happening: 50% to 60%
