Georgia Tech Football: Five bold predictions for the remainder of the season
5) Georgia Tech finishes second in the ACC Coastal/Enter the top-25
As the last bold prediction may give away, I have the Yellow Jackets finishing near the top of the ACC Coastal in this fifth and final bold prediction. If the Yellow Jackets win out the rest of their ACC schedule, they’ll be 6-2 with victories over Virginia Tech and Miami. That would put them at 9-3 entering the final week of the season and potentially even being ranked in the top 25. Unfortunately, unless they lose close to Georgia in the final week of the season, that top 25 ranking would probably go away as they would likely finish at 8-4.
With wins over Virginia Tech and Miami, the Yellow Jackets would be still not be in the driver seat for the ACC Coastal and would need the winner of Virginia Tech-Miami to lose one additional game this season which looks unlikely but it’s not out of the question. Perhaps in this scenario, the Yellow Jackets could get help from Boston College, the most likely team outside of the Jackets who can beat either Virginia Tech or Miami but only time will tell.
Of course this bold prediction rides heavily on our last bold prediction, which lowers the chances of this one happening.
Chance of happening: 35-40%
