The Georgia Tech Injury Report for the North Carolina game is very good for the Jackets as they travel to Chapel Hill looking for their fifth win of the season over a struggling Tar Heels team on their homecoming.

From a health standpoint, the Jackets have had a bit of an up and down year, losing lead B-Back Kirvonte Benson early in the season to a knee injury, and rotating offensive lineman as they were available.

This week, however, the Georgia Tech injury report is clean as the Jackets head to Chapel Hill to take on the Tar Heels. At least outside the season-ending injuries that have happened earlier this season or in fall practices.

Kenny Cooper has slowly built up his playing time as he has been recovering from a foot injury, he suffered during spring practices and is now back at full strength. This could allow for Jahziel Lee to move back to offensive tackle, which is where he started the season.

The Yellow Jackets offense has used six different offensive line rotations this season which is a routine trend for most teams as they go through the season and different players are injured or moved to suit the game plan for a certain week.

Maybe the bigger story is the overall health of both TaQuon Marshall and Tobias Oliver, Tech’s two starting quarterbacks. Marshall has been dealing with a foot injury for most of the season, and Oliver, who played the hero last week at Virginia Tech, has been able to come in and run the offense more than just effectively for the Jackets.

Both QB’s are expected to see playing time on Saturday against the Tar Heels, with Marshall continuing to be the starter for the Yellow Jackets.

Being healthy is a great place to be at this point of the season, especially with the always exciting “coastal chaos” scenarios still in play for Georgia Tech.

While chaos is certainly fun to think about, the immediate goal of the team is bowl eligibility and with three games in conference left with a big road game in Athens to finish the year, that goal is still on the table and something for Jackets fans to be excited about as the season hits the closing month.
