The Miami Hurricanes and more importantly Mark Richt has had Georgia Tech’s number over the years but here are three reasons why the Yellow Jackets can defeat the Hurricanes on Saturday night.

1) Georgia Tech’s offense is firing on all cylinders

It’s no secret that over the last few weeks, the Georgia Tech offense has been tremendous. The Yellow Jackets have rushed for over 400+ yards in three of the last four weeks and have scored 35+ points in four of their last five. The only outlier over the last few weeks was the Jackets 28-14 loss to Duke as the Blue Devils were strong on both sides of the ball. They’ll go against another strong defense this week which will surely be a storyline to watch.

The Jackets offense does have a few questions to answer such as “who will be their main quarterback going forward?” Will it be the incumbent starter, TaQuon Marshall or will it be redshirt freshman Tobias Oliver who has to lead the Yellow Jackets offense well over the last two weeks when on the field.

That being said and all things considered, the Yellow Jackets offense this season is performing at levels that have not seen under Paul Johnson in quite some time. While the Miami defense is still strong and has been the only reason the Hurricanes haven’t been blown out the last few weeks it’s hard for a team that has no mojo or confidence right now, to not give up or not be as emotionally invested as the season comes to a close.
