Georgia and Georgia Tech will meet for the 113th time on Saturday in the newest edition of “Clean Old-Fashioned Hate” where the fifth ranked Dawgs will face off against the suddenly hot Yellow Jackets. Here are four players to watch for on Saturday during the clash for state bragging rights.

Georgia:

1.   Elijah Holyfield: Holyfield is one of the double-headed beasts that UGA will throw at the Tech defense on Saturday and he is explosive as a runner. He is averaging 6.6 yards per carry this season with eight total touchdowns. His best game of the season was against Kentucky where he rushed for 115 yards on 18 carries. The UGA offensive line has been exceptional at opening holes for their running backs this year and Holyfield could feast on Georgia Tech’s run defense.

That being said, don’t forget about running back D’Andre Swift.

2.   Jake Fromm: The Georgia QB will be looking to capitalize on the weak secondary of Nate Woody’s defense that is giving up 223 yards per game to opposing teams. Fromm has been good this season, but he may have a challenger on his hands in the form of Justin Fields not entirely unlike the Marshall and Oliver situation on the other sideline. Look for Georgia to play the hot hand, just like Tech.

3.   Brad Stewart: Call me crazy but I am predicting that Brad Stewart is going to have a career day on his last trip to Athens. Many teams can be lulled to sleep with the monotony of the option and then be gashed by deep passing routes ran by Wide Receivers that have spent an entire game blocking downfield for their teammates. UGA CB Deandre Baker is arguably the best player on their defense and a future first-round draft pick but on Saturday he will have to be on his guard and try and prevent Brad Stewart from exploding in his final career game.

4. Jerry Howard: The B-Back position is going to be asked to set the tone for the day for the Georgia Tech offense. If Howard can get steady positive gains in the dive play then the rest of the offense will follow closely behind and have an explosive day against the Georgia defense.

This game is a potential trap game for the Bulldogs as they could get caught looking a week ahead to their looming matchup with the Crimson Tide. To be fair, however, there is no way that Coach Smart lets his team get that far ahead of themselves and Saturday is going to be a fight. The Yellow Jackets are going to have a tough fight this weekend if they want to upset Georgia but they have a shot at it.
