Now that the 2018 regular season has come to an end, it’s time for a retrospective look at Georgia Tech’s 2018 regular season.

Game 1: 41-0 win over Alcorn State

What happened:

The Yellow Jackets started this season off with a nice win over the Alcorn State Braves. The Yellow Jackets put up over 400 yards on the ground and were led by Jordan Mason with 85-yards. Defensively, the Jackets got off to a great start in the Nate Woody era, keeping the Braves to just 146 yards of total offense. The Jackets did, however, have three turnovers in the game.

In retrospect:

In retrospect, the win still was a good win for the Yellow Jackets and Alcorn State put together a strong season following the loss. The Braves went 8-3, won their division, and will play for the SWAC Championship next weekend against the Southern Jaguars. Not much went terribly wrong that would lead us to believe the Jackets would’ve gone 1-3 in their next three games either.

Conclusion:

The Jackets came out and did what had to be done against an opponent they should beat by 40+ points and no less.
