Game 7: 28-14 loss to Duke

What happened:

The Yellow Jackets looked to continue their hot offensive play but ran into another hot team in the Duke Blue Devils. The Jackets offense really struggled against the Blue Devils in finishing drives and a few key turnovers cost the Yellow Jackets as Duke took advantage of the short field that they were given.

In retrospect:

Following this game, Duke really fell apart despite starting the season 5-1. At the time, the loss didn’t seem horrible for the Jackets because of Duke’s strong start. Now, the loss definitely works a bit worse. The Yellow Jackets had their chances against the Blue Devils but hurt themselves all too often in the game. They could’ve easily won the game but at the same time, you can’t make the number of mistakes the Jackets did and win. While they could’ve won, it was a well-deserved loss.

Conclusion: A loss that truly hurt the Yellow Jackets and their ACC Coastal dreams. Second worst loss of the season.
