Georgia Tech Football: Five things to know about Minnesota

2) Minnesota could be missing several players

According to reports out of Minnesota including by Twin Cities Pioneer Press, several players on Minnesota’s defense could be suspended for the Quick Lane Bowl. According to the report, the suspensions are due to off the field issues that occurred following Minnesota’s rivalry win over Wisconsin. That being said, no exact names have been released.

Minnesota has already lost a few key players due to injury including running backs Shannon Brown and Rodney Smith. Offensive lineman Donnell Greene will also sit out the Quick Lane Bowl as he prepares for the NFL Draft, he’s currently slotted to be late-round selection in next year’s NFL Draft.
