Jordan Mason

Our current favorite to be the starting running back next fall is redshirt sophomore Jordan Mason. Mason is coming off a pretty strong redshirt freshman season that saw him average 6.1 yards per carry, picking up 659-yards on 108-carries over 13 games.

Mason last season was thrust into more playing time once starting b-back KirVonte Benson went down with a season-ending knee injury against KirVonte Benson. That being said, Mason was strong in relief for Benson and secured the starting job for himself shortly after taking over for Benson.

At 6-foot-1 and 212-pounds, he’s on the bigger side for a running back but is he uses that to his advantage. He has a chance to be a tremendous running back for the Jackets as he possesses a great combination of speed and strength. He’ll be an exciting player to watch over the next two seasons.
