The Sophomore:

Malachi Carter:

The lone true freshman last season to play at receiver and burn his redshirt was Malachi Carter. The Lawrenceville native saw time in all 13 games for the Yellow Jackets last season, mostly thanks to his superb blocking skills. He didn’t put up any big numbers, bringing in just 3 receptions for 56-yards and a single touchdown.

Overall, Carter is one of the Jackets most well-rounded wide receivers and is strong in various aspects of his game. With good hands, quality speed, and the ability to block, Carter can fit into any offense in the country and make an impact. He’ll be one of our selections to be a breakout player this season and we’re excited to see what the second year wide out can do with a full winter and spring workout under his belt, not to mention the advantage of playing in a much more receiver friendly offense.
