2020 in-state running back Kobe Pryor released his top-10 on Sunday and the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets made the cut for the three-star Cedartown native.

Georgia Tech has been hot on the recruiting trail late and they seem to be putting themselves in quality position with 2020 in-state running back Kobe Pryor of Cedartown. The 6-foot-0, 200-pound back is ranked as a top-750 player nationally, a top-60 running back, and a top-75 player in the state of Georgia. That being said, his offer list is pretty impressive and it shows in his top-10.

Originally at 17 scholarship offers, Pryor cut seven schools from the running for his talents and announced the following 10 schools;

  • Auburn
  • Clemson
  • Georgia
  • Georgia Tech
  • LSU
  • Michigan
  • Penn State
  • South Carolina
  • Texas
  • West Virginia

Obviously, the Yellow Jackets are not the star program at the table for Pryor, as there’s at least seven should be top-25 teams in his top-10. That being said, the Jackets still should like where they stand with Pryor and it’s obvious that he’s higher rated by college coaching staffs than recruiting services.

Pryor hasn’t announced a timeline for his decision or a timeline for when the next round of cuts for his services will be made. At this point, it’s likely that Pryor will probably announce one more round of cuts of his top teams, down to five or six before making his rounds of official visits. With that, we’d expect Pryor to be looking at a late summer or fall announcement. However, that’s just speculation, or more so an estimate from ourselves.

Currently, the Jackets don’t have a running back commit in their 2020 recruiting class. The Jackets last cycle took three running backs in Tony Amerson, Devin Ellison, and Jamious Griffin. They’re only expected to lose running back after this season in KirVonte Benson as well, right now we’d expect the Jackets to take just one running back but if space allows they may take two.

The Jackets 2020 recruiting class as constructed now features six commitments and is currently headlined by four-star cornerback Miles Brooks from Trinity Christian Academy in Jacksonville, Florida. The class is currently ranked 22nd in the country an fifth in the ACC, while still early in the cycle, the Jackets being a top-25 class early on is a great start for the Geoff Collins era on the recruiting trail.
