Georgia Tech Football: Jackets make top four for ATH Wesley Steiner
The Georgia Tech football program has made the top four, for four-star athlete Wesley Steiner.
Warner Robins native Wesley Steiner announced his top four schools on Thursday afternoon. Steiner, a four-star prospect and a top-125 prospect in the country is considered one of the top athletes in the country, coming in at No.7 in 247Sports composite position rankings of the position. Additionally, Rivals has Steiner ranked as an inside linebacker and isn’t as high on the Georgia native, ranking him just as a three-star prospect and a top-50 player in the state of Georgia.
Steiner has received offers from some of the top programs in the country including Alabama, Florida, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and West Virginia. That being said, the Jackets made the top four for Steiner, joining the Jackets is Auburn, LSU, and Stanford.
The Jackets in the 2020 recruiting class already has 12 commitments in the class which is ranked 13th in the country according to 247Sports team rankings. The Jackets don’t have any commitments from any athletes so far in the class but do have two commitments from linebackers in Tyson Meiguez and Jared Behrens.
Currently, Steiner has no timetable for a decision, at least publicly. That being said, the Yellow Jackets are obviously in a great spot for Steiner. If this recruitment goes into the season, the Jackets play on the field could play a factor in his recruitment. Right now, there are no favorites for Steiner according to 247Sports crystal ball. Rivals, however, has LSU as the favorite per their experts.
