Four-star center Saba Gigiberia is on an official visit to Georgia Tech according to reports.

Josh Pastner and the Georgia Tech basketball program are hosting one of their top targets in the 2020 recruiting class according to Jake Weingarten of Stockrisers.com. That prospect is California center and Prolific Prep standout Saba Gigiberia, a four-star center.

Gigiberia is ranked as a top-130 prospect in the country according to 247Sports as well as a top-20 center and top-20 player out of California. According to his 247Sports profile, Gigiberia has eight scholarship offers including offers from Boise State, Illinois, TCU, USC, Vanderbilt, and Washington State. Additionally, this appears to be the second official visit he’s taken so far, also visiting Vanderbilt earlier this month.

So far in the 2020 recruiting, the Yellow Jackets have two commitments. Those commitments are from top-200 power forward Jordan Meka and top-250 shooting guard Tristan Maxwell. Maxwell is the most recent commit to the program, making the decision last week. The recruiting class as it stands today is ranked 54th in the country and 13th in the nation.

While Josh Pastner looks to add to the Tech program, he is also getting the Jackets ready for their season opener next Tuesday night against the North Carolina State Wolfpack. The Jackets are expected to be a competitive team this year but many wonder if their postseason ban will become a distraction and create a lack of motivation around the program. If Pastner could make sure his team stays motivated and the Jackets show improvements from last season, this could be Pastner’s best coaching job yet.
