The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets will take on the Pittsburgh Panthers this weekend and will rely on those three players for solid performances.

RB Jordan Mason:

Mason has been one of the top running backs in all of college football this season and he’ll have a chance to show what he has again on Saturday afternoon against the Panthers. Mason is coming off the two best games of his career, with back-to-back 100+ yard rushing performances. Against the Miami Hurricanes, Mason rushed for 141-yards on 20-carries and one touchdown. Over the last two games, he has 38 rushing attempts for 247-yards and one touchdown.

WR Ahmarean Brown:

Brown has been the definition of an “all-or-nothing” type receiver for the Yellow Jackets this season. The true freshman has recorded a reception in each game so far this season for the Yellow Jackets and then some. He doesn’t have numbers that pop out on paper but his 12 receptions so far this season have all been big ones, with the shortest 10-yards. The other 11 have all been 25+ yards including four of 30 or more yards. Against Miami, he had a career high three receptions for 41-yards and one touchdown.

LB Charlie Thomas:

Georgia Tech head coach Geoff Collins is known as the “Minister of Mayhem” and right now sophomore linebacker Charlie Thomas is one of his best disciples. In seven games this season, Thomas has totaled 43 tackles, an average of 6.14 tackles per game. Out of those 43 tackles, he has 9.0 tackles for a loss and two sacks. Oh, he also has two forced fumbles as well this season. If the Jackets are going to pull out a win on Saturday, he’ll need to have a big defensive performance.

Obviously it will take more than just these three Yellow Jackets to pull Tech to victory but these are the three players that we are deeming the best chance to be game changers on Saturday afternoon.
