Georgia Tech is massive underdogs to the Virginia Cavaliers on Saturday but here are three Jackets who could help the Jackets potentially upset one of the ACC Coastal’s top teams.

1) RB Jordan Mason

As we’ve mentioned numerous times this week, Virginia has struggled against the run the last few weeks and we expect that to be the focus of the Jackets offense. That means Jordan Mason should get somewhere between 17-20 carries AT LEAST in our mind and if he can tap into the ways he played against Duke and Miami, the Jackets offense will be able to move the ball on the ground just fine. If Mason doesn’t have a strong game on Saturday, the Jackets chances of winning take a huge hit and their chances are already very low.

2) LB Charlie Thomas

Charlie Thomas at times this season has been a menace for opposing offenses. While he’s gone quiet in the last few weeks compared to his earlier performances, Thomas is in store for another big game or two this season. If the Jackets are going to pull off an upset on Saturday, Thomas will need to have another one of those big games for the Yellow Jackets. Thomas has been great at getting in opposing backfields, if he can grab a sack and a tackle for a loss or two that could go a long way in the Jackets effort. Perhaps he will force a turnover or two?

2) P Pressley Harvin III

The Jackets offense is going to have its struggles against Virginia and it won’t be shocking if for most of the game, they end up struggling and can’t move the ball all too much. That means Pressley Harvin III will be in charge of flipping the field. Harvin has been tremendous all season and has helped put the Yellow Jackets defense in position to be successful. He’ll need to have another one of those games against Virginia and will need to pin the Cavaliers deep in their own territory throughout the afternoon.

The Yellow Jackets and Cavaliers will kickoff on Saturday afternoon at 12:30 pm from Scott Stadium in Charlottesviile.
