We’re still early in the 2019-20 season but a trio of Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets are leading the ACC statistically.

It’s still early in the 2019-20 basketball season and the Yellow Jackets are just three games into their season but a trio of Jackets are among the best in the ACC in several categories.

G Michael Devoe – No.1 in Points Per Game

This probably shouldn’t be shocking but Michael Devoe is leading the ACC in scoring early on with 26.0 points per game. After scoring 22 points in each of the Jackets first two games of the season, Devoe followed it up with a 34-point performance against Georgia. Devoe has been nothing short of incredible in the Jackets first trio of games this season and if he keeps this up, the Jackets will be a dangerous team to face just because of Devoe’s scoring.

C James Banks III – No.1 in Blocks Per Game

There’s no real surprise here but leading the ACC in blocks per game this season is Jackets center James Banks III. Banks is averaging 5.7 blocks per game this season which is incredible even despite it still being early in the season. After a five block performance in the season opener against North Carolina State, Banks has followed that up with six blocks against both the Elon Phoenix and Georgia Bulldogs. Banks hasn’t only been strong on defense, he’s been great on offense as well with 11.7 points per game and strong on the board with 8.3 rebounds per game.

F Khalid Moore – No.1 in Steals Per Game

Moore, a sophomore forward out of New York has been solid on both sides of the ball this season for the Jackets. While he’s averaging 7.5 points per game this season in 33.3 minutes per contest, the 6-foot-7 forward is leading the ACC so far this season in steals per game with three. Moore through three games this season, has nine steals including six in their season opener against NC State. His defensive rating this season is 88.1, among the best of Tech starters this season. The Jackets defense will be in a good spot going forward if Moore can continue his play.

Devoe, Banks, and Moore will look to add to their statistical leads on Monday night when the Jackets take on the Arkansas Razorbacks.
