Georgia Tech football announced on Friday when the program will be having it’s annual spring game on Friday afternoon.

The return of Georgia Tech Football is just around the corner…well kind of. On Friday, the football program announced the date of their 2020 Spring Game, the second of the Geoff Collins era.

The Gold and White Georgia Tech teams will take the field on April 10th. That date is about two weeks earlier than it was this past season for Collins’s first spring game as Tech head coach. Last year, it was held on April 26th in a game that the Gold Team won 30-20. The game also of course featured the largest crowd in Georgia Tech spring game history, a feat fans will look to break this year.

This year’s spring practices and games will have plenty of storylines for fans to follow as Tech looks to rebound from a 3-9 season. The biggest question entering April 10th will be, “Who’s going to be Georgia Tech’s quarterback in 2020?” Will it be incumbent starter James Graham or will it be a newcomer like Jeff Sims or Tucker Gleason. Both Sims and Gleason, have begun their careers on The Flats and will be on hand for spring practices and the spring game. Other questions surround the Jackets offensive line, receiving core, and defensive line, three areas that will need to see improvement in 2020.

Only 77 days until Georgia Tech Football returns to The Flats (for one day!) and only 212 days until the 2020 season begins for Georgia Tech on August 23rd.
