There is no doubt that Georgia Tech forward Moses Wright is our player of the game for the Jackets 79-72 loss to Syracuse.

From start to finish, Moses Wright put in one of the best efforts of his career on Saturday afternoon against the Syracuse Orange.

The junior forward out of Raleigh, North Carolina led all scorers in the Jackets 79-72 conference loss to the Orange.

Wright played in nearly all of Saturday’s game, playing in 38 of 40 minutes. During those 38 minutes of play, Wright was dynamic and efficient. He totaled a career-high 33 points in the game, shooting 14-for-17 from the field, all coming within the perimeter.

The Orange also sent Wright to the line multiple times throughout the game with Wright totaling eight free throw shots. He took quality advantage of the free point opportunities, hitting 5-of-8 attempts.

Wright wasn’t just tremendous offensively but was great defensively as well with 10-rebounds in the game. The 10-rebounds to go along with his 33-points, gave Wright his seventh double-double of the 2019-2020 season.

On the season, Moses Wright is averaging 13.7 points per game and 7.3 assists per game. He’s been shooting rather efficiently all season with a field goal percentage of 55.3% on the season including five games of shooting 70% or better.

The Yellow Jackets will take the court once again on Tuesday night when the Clemson Tigers travel to McCamish Pavillion. The Tigers enter the game 14-12 on the season including 8-8 in conference play. Tech fans can watch the game on Tuesday night via ACC Network Extra.
