The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets are starting their 2020 season as 11-point underdogs to the Florida State Seminoles.

It’s officially game week for the Georgia Tech football program and we now have the first line for a Georgia Tech game this season. On Sunday, the odds for this weekend’s upcoming matchups was posted including the Yellow Jackets showdown with Florida State at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday afternoon.

The Jackets are opening as quite the underdogs to Florida State as Vegas has the Seminoles as an 11-point favorite over the Yellow Jackets. The over/under for the game is currently set at 54.5 points.

Last season, the Yellow Jackets were 3-9 against the spread, matching their actual record for the season. Additionally, the over hit in the over/under seven times while the under hit five times. In games the Jackets were underdogs of 10 or more points last year they were 2-4 covering spreads of +18 against Miami (also won straight-up 28-21) and +16 (losing 33-28) against Virginia.

Florida State, on the other hand, was 4-7-1 against the spread last season while the over/unders were split evenly at 6-6 on the season. They were 1-2 last season when they were a favorite of 10 or more points.

Saturday afternoon’s game is a big game for both teams as the Jackets look to take big step forwards in year two of the Geoff Collins era while Florida State looks to get the Mike Norvell era off to a good start in his first game as the Seminoles head coach.

The Yellow Jackets and Seminoles are currently set to kickoff on Saturday afternoon at Doak Campbell Stadium in Tallahassee at 3:30 p.m. with the game televised nationally on ABC.
