Gameday No.4 of the 2020 season is here for Georgia Tech and here’s what Tech fans can expect weather-wise in Atlanta.

During the Day:

For the most part, the weather in Atlanta on Friday will be in the high-60s to Low-70s with a small chance of rain for most of the day. The highest chance of rain during the day prior to the game comes around 11:00 a.m. but for the most part, expect just cloudy skies. The high in the city for the day will be 77-degrees.

Around Kickoff Time:

The weather around kickoff tonight will be a cool 70-degrees with a real feel of 66, which should make it a comfortable night for everyone in the stands. That being said, with 75% humidity, there is a chance of rain during the game starting at the 8:00 p.m. hour.

During the 8:00 p.m. hour as well as the 9:00 p.m. hour the chance of rain is above 60% with about a tenth of an inch of rain expected.

When it comes to affecting the game, the rain should have a limited effect on how it will impact play calling. That being said, if the rain becomes persistent or heavy, expect the Yellow Jackets to focus on the run game especially considering Jeff Sims turnover issues already this season.

Post Game:

The weather following the game should be just fine and will be a little cooler at 67-degrees and a real feel in the low 60s. The chance of rain sits just below 50%. It should be nice and easy weather for any fans attending the game to drive home.
