Georgia Tech improved their record to 2-2 last Friday against the Louisville Cardinals thanks to a 46-27 victory and here’s how the Jackets position groups graded out.

Offensive Position Groups: By Dylan Callaghan-Croley

Quarterback: B

First of all, let’s get this out there, Jeff Sims played his best game of the season on Friday night against Louisville. The true freshman didn’t put up a great completion percentage, completing just 52% of his passes (11-for-21) but Sims didn’t turn over the ball and he looked good in the pocket and was able to complete a couple of good throws despite some strong pressure in his face. That doesn’t include his seven carries for 64-yards and a score. But at the end of the day, Sims took a big step forward on Friday in my opinion.

Running Back: A

Another strong day at the office for the running backs, Jahmyr Gibbs had 13 carries for 61-yards and a touchdown. Dontae Smith had eight carries for 44-yards and a touchdown while Jamious Griffin had five carries for 14-yards and a touchdown. All in all, the running backs had 27 carries for 131-yards and three touchdowns. Gibbs also had two receptions for 60-yards and a score.

Wide Receiver/Tight End: B

Six different players recorded a reception on Friday with Jalen Camp leading the way with four receptions for 31-yards and a touchdown. Malachi Carter had three of his own for 89-yards and a touchdown while Gibbs (2-for-60; 1 TD), Adonicasa Sanders (1-for-33), Ahmarean Brown (1-for-30), and Dylan Leonard (1-for-15) all recorded receptions as well.

Offensive Line: A

The offensive line also had their best game of the season on Friday, only allowing two tackles for a loss in the game and no sacks. They also helped pave the way for nearly 200 rushing yards and 46-points in the game. Brent Key once again shows why he’s one of the best offensive line coaches in the country.

Now, let’s look at the defensive grades
