The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets have opened as just over a touchdown underdog to the Pittsburgh Panthers for their upcoming matchup on Saturday afternoon.

Entering this weekend, the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets own a 2-5 record and are losers of five of their last six games. Their lone win during the stretch coming against Louisville, a 46-27 victory. Since then, they’ve lost all three of their games and will have a tough matchup against the Pitt Panthers this upcoming weekend.

The Panthers enter the weekend at 4-4 on the season and are coming off a blowout 41-17 victory over Florida State this past weekend. With that, the oddsmakers are favoring the Panthers this weekend by just over a touchdown, with the line for the game-opening at -7.5 for Pitt.

Since the opening of the line, the public has picked the Yellow Jackets early, with the line shifting an entire point so far down to -6.5 in favorite of the Panthers.

Also noteworthy in terms of betting, the over/under for the game is 51.5 with the odds currently favoring the over to hit at -107.

Against the spread this season, both teams have struggled to cover this, Georgia Tech doing slightly better than Pitt, owning a 3-4 record ATS. The Panthers, on the other hand, are 2-5-1 against the spread this season. The over-under seems likely to hit this weekend with the over hitting in 11 of 15 games this season.

Geoff Collins’ Yellow Jackets and Panthers will kick off this Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. at Bobby Dodd Stadium. The Yellow Jackets will be looking for their third win of the season, matching their season total from last year.
