Georgia Tech Football: Justice Dingle Enters Transfer Portal
For the second straight week, a Georgia Tech football player has entered the transfer portal.
On Tuesday, it was reported that Georgia Tech redshirt sophomore linebacker Justice Dingle has entered the transfer portal. Dingle’s father confirmed the report on Twitter.
The Bowling Green, Kentucky native has appeared in just four games for the Yellow Jackets this year and recorded just one tackle. For his career, Dingle has played in 19 games for the Yellow Jackets over his first three years on The Flats recording eight tackles and one tackle for a loss, and three forced fumbles.
Dingle showed flashes during his Georgia Tech career especially in 2019 where he recorded just six tackles but also one tackle for a loss and three forced fumbles over 11 games. Unfortunately, it never all came together for him during his time on The Flats and now he’ll look elsewhere to continue his career. With no eligibility being used this season and the one-time free transfer rule that is likely to come into effect this offseason, Dingle will have three seasons to play at his next university.
Dingle was a three-star recruit and part of Georgia Tech’s 2018 recruiting class, committing to the Jackets over a handful of other programs including Kentucky, Louisville, Purdue, and Tennessee.
For the Jackets, it marks the second straight week that a player has entered the transfer portal as backup quarterback James Graham entered the portal last week. The entry of players into the portal shouldn’t come as a surprise at this point in the season, as it draws closer to an end. Normally, this would be the last week of the college football regular season for most teams.
Yellow Jacked Up wishes Justice the best in all his future endeavors!
