The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets  are coming off a 56-33 victory over Duke on Saturday night, tying their win total from last season. The Jackets will now look to surpass that win total this upcoming weekend against the North Carolina State Wolfpack.

On Sunday, the kickoff time for this weekends upcoming matchup was announced. The Jackets will travel north to Carter-Finley Stadium in Raleigh for a 4:00 pm showdown with the Wolfpack. The game will be televised in the ACC Network.

The Wolfpack enter this week 7-3 on the season and 6-3 in conference play and are winners of three straight.

Last season, the Jackets claimed a 28-26 victory over Dave Dorean’s program at Bobby Dodd Stadium to cap off ACC play last season. The Wolfpack, however, are much improved this season and are more like the teams we have been accustomed to seeing over the last several years than the one that  took the field last season.

This past week, the Wolfpack survived a late push from Syracuse to hold on for a 36-29 victory on the road. The week prior, they took on and faded an undefeated and ranked Liberty Flames team that had beaten Virginia Tech just a few weeks prior and was able to also hold on in a close victory, 15-14.

All-time the two programs have met 30 times prior to this season with the Jackets holding the all time series lead 20-10 including winners of the last three matchups dating back to 2011. The last time the Wolfpack were able to defeat the Yellow Jackets at home was in 2000, 30-23. The starting quarterback that game for NC State? Phillip Rivers.

That being said, Vegas seems to like the Wolfpack’s odds coming into Saturday as NC State opened as eight point favorites over the Jackets.
