Two Georgia Tech football players collected post-season accolades on Tuesday.
Georgia Tech senior punter Pressley Harvin III and freshman Jahmyr Gibbs both collected accolades for their 2020 season on Tuesday afternoon.
Harvin was first named a member of the All-ACC First Team for his performance in 2020 that saw him average a nation-leading 48-yards per punt. While it was first announced on Monday that he was going to be a member of the All-ACC First Team, it became official on Tuesday when all the teams were released.

However, more importantly, Harvin III was named for the first-time a finalist for the Ray Guy Award, annually given to the nation’s best punter. He joins Georgia’s Jake Camarda and Miami’s Lou Hedley. The winner of the award will be announced on January 7th during The Home Depot College Football Awards Show on ESPN.

After a career of pinning opponents in their own territory and throwing touchdown bombs against Miami, the weapon needs help from the fans. Fans as a whole are awarded one vote in the Ray Guy voting and will have until January 1, 2021, to select who they think should be the winner. The final accolade for the senior who recently announced he will be going pro and not returning for a fifth season is first-team All-American as selected by ESPN.
For Jahmyr Gibbs, he earned a spot on The Athletic’s True Freshman All-America First-Team.

Gibbs played in seven games for the Jackets this season, picking up 460 rushing yards and four touchdowns as well as 303 receiving yards and three additional scores. He finished the season with 763 yards from scrimmage averaging 6.3 yards per touch as well as finishing the season with 968 all-purpose yards when you add in his 205 kick return yards.
Gibbs will return next season for his second year on The Flats though technically will still be a freshman. He’ll be the Jacket’s top weapon on offense alongside quarterback Jeff Sims.
