Who has the edge?

Starters: EDGE – Georgia Tech

If Moses Wright was playing, the Yellow Jackets would have a huge advantage in our book in terms of how the projected starting lineups matchup. That being said, the Jackets still have the edge here as we think the trio of Jose Alvarado, Michael Devoe, and Jordan Usher is enough for the Yellow Jackets. All three have been outstanding of late and had big performances down the stretch of the regular season and in the ACC Tournament.

Bench: EDGE – Loyola

We know the Jackets rarely use the bench under Josh Pastner and now with Rodney Howard entered into the starting lineup, the Jackets bench depth gets even slimmer. The Ramblers depth isn’t off the charts but the duo of guards Tate Hall (7.0 points, 3.3 rebounds, 1.9 assists per game) and Marquise Kennedy (7.1 points, 3.5 assists, and 1.4 rebounds) is enough to give them the advantage on the bench.

Coaching: EDGE – Toss up

Determining who has the coaching edge is extremely tough. Both Loyola’s Porter Moser and the Jackets’ Josh Pastner are fantastic coaches and have done tremendous jobs this season. Both have strong track record though Moser’s is probably a bit strong in terms of recent history though we can’t ignore Pastner’s success at Memphis. It’s truly a tough one to call so we called this one a toss up.
