Damon Stoudamire has one goal for Georgia Tech basketball this season

The 2025 NCAA Division I men’s basketball season will bring another exciting slate of Atlantic Coast Conference matchups. Georgia Tech and Duke are set to meet once in the regular season, with the Yellow Jackets opening conference play on New Year’s Eve afternoon at Cameron Indoor Stadium. The game will be broadcast on the ACC Network as part of Tech’s 12-game conference television schedule.

Head basketball Coach Stoudamire made the team mission clear: “Our goal is to make the NCAA Tournament.” Georgia Tech finished last season 14–18, ranking third from the bottom of the ACC ahead of only Miami and Louisville.

Duke swept last year’s meetings. Winning 82–56 in December and 78–70 in the ACC Tournament. This season. The Yellow Jackets look to flip the script under third-year head coach Damon Stoudamire. Who continues to push for progress in his rebuilding plan, to make the program relevant again.

Across the ACC, more than 215 men’s basketball games will air on the ESPN family of networks, including ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, ACC Network, and ESPNU. Fans can also stream over 80 additional matchups on ACC Network Extra and the new ESPN app.

Georgia Tech’s home conference schedule features nine games at McCamish Pavilion, including visits from 2024 NCAA Tournament teams Clemson and North Carolina. Clemson remains Tech’s permanent home-and-away rival, with the programs having met 148 times. The Yellow Jackets will also face new ACC member California twice this season.

In addition to the Clemson Tigers, North Carolina, and Cal. The Yellow Jackets will host Boston College, Florida State, Pittsburgh, Syracuse, Virginia, and Wake Forest. Road trips include games at Duke, Louisville, Miami, NC State, Notre Dame, Stanford, and Virginia Tech. Georgia Tech will not play the SMU Mustangs this season.

Currently, the football season is in full swing with a lot of buzz surrounding the Brent Key program. Let’s see if the 2025/2026 basketball season can create the same energy around the basketball program.
