After posting back-to-back seven-win seasons, Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets football has plenty of momentum on the recruiting trail, as it hosted a pair of prospects from Buford High School over the weekend.
Defensive end James Morrow and offensive tackle Graham Houston both recently visited The Flats. The two juniors would be the first additions to Georgia's Tech's 2026 recruiting class.
Morrow, who's six-foot-four, 230 pounds, is ranked as the No. 230 prospect in the class of 2026 by Rivals.com, good for a four-star rating. Georgia Tech extended an early offer to Morrow on Jun. 12, 2024. Alabama, Auburn, Georgia and Texas have also offered the standout defensive end. According to Morrow's social media, Nebraska head coach Matt Rhule stopped by Buford to visit him on Monday.
Houston, who's also listed as a four-star recruit by Rivals, stands at six-foot-5, 305 pounds. After being offered by the Yellow Jackets on Jul. 27, 2024, he's added offers from programs like Florida, Ole Miss, Oregon and South Carolina.
Head coach Brent Key and the Yellow Jackets are looking to build off its 2025 recruiting class that finished ranked inside the top 25 of all four major recruiting services. The 26-man signing class included 17 players from the talent-rich state of Georgia.
Last cycle, Georgia Tech signed Buford wide receiver Jordan Allen, a former teammate of Morrow and Houston. Buford finished the 2024 season with a 12-2 record and appeared in the GHSA semifinals. The school is well-known for producing top football prospects, including Georgia safety K.J. Bolden, who was named a FWAA Freshman All-American after last season.
