#5 – LB Tre Jackson (Signed)

Tre is a 3-star linebacker from Valdosta, GA. and played at Lowndes High School. Despite Tre’s 5’10 height, he is a physical run stopper that is very effective at defending against the run and pass. Jackson has quick reaction skills and is capable of taking on blockers at the point of attack. Tre is able to move through traffic, avoid blockers and is still able to make tackles.

Jackson is also a decent pass defender, he has good instincts with the underneath route and has the ability to close on the underneath receivers. Since the Jackets had a problem with the short, over the middle passes this pass year, Jackson might be able get in the game and contribute on these types of pass plays.
