The postseason accolades continue to roll in for Georgia Tech senior DE Jeremiah Attaochu. After being named to the ACC All-Conference team by both the ACSMA and the coaches, and garnering several defensive lineman of the week awards this season, Attaochu has been named to the 2013 AP All-American third team.

Also announced today, Attaochu was named as a Sports Illustrated honorable mention to their All-American team.

Attaochu is a sure-fire NFL draft pick, and with each of these awards, his draft stock goes that much higher. It’s still a longshot for Attaochu to become a first round draft pick, but it’s not out of the realm of possibility.

The AP All-American team is one of the most prestigious postseason awards, and is part of five different All-American teams (AP, AFCA, FWAA, Sporting News, and the WCFF) that are used to determine consensus All-Americans. The AP uses a panel of sportswriters to select their team, and has selected an All-American team since 1925.
