Georgia Tech Football Recruiting: Fast rising recruit ranks Georgia Tech among top ten
Georgia Tech has cracked the top ten for fast rising New Jersey native and three-star recruit Jayson Oweh.
For the second time in two days, the Yellow Jackets have made the top ten for an out of state recruit. On Sunday, fast-rising defensive end Jayson Oweh announced his top ten which included some interesting programs to note.
Oweh’s recruitment has taken off since a strong performance at New Jersey’s Opening Regional where he dominated on both sides of the ball. His performance at the regional has opened the ability of him potentially playing at tight end in college and not the defensive line.

Either way, Oweh is a highly athletic and gifted recruit that could be a top-100 recruit when all said and done.
Oweh is a recruit that takes his education seriously which can be seen by just glancing at his top ten. As evident by the future four-star defensive end including Harvard on his list of potential schools. That being said, all ten of Oweh’s schools are top notch academic schools.
Going Forward:
Penn State is the heavy favorite for Oweh, which is no shocking as Penn State is one program that usually loves recruiting the Garden State.
If Georgia Tech is going to land Oweh, it will take beating out three top ten teams (Ohio State, Penn State, Wisconsin) as well as Notre Dame and Wisconsin who all could be players in Oweh’s recruitment going forward.
One school that Oweh did eliminate which many Tech fans will be happy with, the Georgia Bulldogs.
Overall, the Yellow Jackets chances at Oweh now are probably lower than they were when they originally offered in March. Unless Penn State takes a nose dive with Oweh, he most likely will be a Nittany Lion.
