4. RB Jerry Howard

A three-star running back coming out of high school, Howard has been impressive to the Tech coaching staff so far this summer. If Howard continues to impress the coaching staff like he has been it’s hard to see the coaching staff keeping him out of games this season despite a pretty strong rotation at the position already.

At 6-foot-0 and 215-pounds, Howard has great size to be a strong b-back in the Jackets offense and to have an impact. While he won’t’ challenge for the starting job as long as Dedrick Mills is around, he has the potential to be a superb backup to Mills. He won’t put up huge numbers as long as he’s a backup but if the scrimmage last Saturday was any indication, Howard has the potential to be a great situational and role back for the Jackets moving forward.
