The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets return home to Bobby Dodd Stadium on Saturday to take on the third-ranked Clemson Tigers as they hope to put a jolt into their season.

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets have returned home to Bobby Dodd Stadium after playing each of their last two games on the road in Tampa Bay and Pittsburgh. But the return home brings up one of the most difficult challenges the Jackets will have all season, taking on the Clemson Tigers. With the Yellow Jackets entering the game with a 1-2 record, the game means all that much more as they look to save themselves from starting 1-3 on the season.

The Tigers enter 2018 as national championship contenders and three games into the season, the Tigers are looking good but still has yet to hit their full potential which should be scary for the Yellow Jackets and the rest of Clemson’s schedule.

For the Yellow Jackets, saving their season from starting 1-3 is the goal on Saturday while the Tigers hope to keep their bid for a perfect season and a national championship alive.

What they did last week:

Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets: 24-19 loss to Pittsburgh

The Yellow Jackets got off to a sluggish and bad start against the Panthers and was down 21-0 at halftime. They would outscore the Panthers 19-3 in the second half but the deficit was too much to overcome as the dropped to 1-2 on the season.

Clemson Tigers: 38-7 win over Georgia Southern

Trevor Lawrence saw three-quarters of action against the Eagles last weekend after Kelly Bryant went down with an injury. The Tigers put up nearly 600-yards of offense while keeping the Eagles short of 200-yards including just 80-yards on the ground.

Clemson enters Saturday’s game as more than a two-touchdown favorite over the Yellow Jackets. For the Yellow Jackets, it’s the first time this season they’ll be the underdogs entering the game after being two-point favorites in each of their last two games. So far this season, the Jackets have yet to cover the spread in any of their three games as well.

The Tigers are also 0-3 on the season against the spread this season though barely missed last week as they were a 31.5 point favorite in their 31-point win over Georgia Southern. On Saturday, one of these trends will break (most likely).
