Kickoff for Georgia Tech’s matchup with the Virginia Cavaliers on November 17th has been given a mid-afternoon kickoff time.

Yesterday, we learned the kickoff time for Georgia Tech’s matchup this weekend with the Miami Hurricanes will be a primetime kickoff.

Today, we learned that the Jackets matchup against the Virginia Cavaliers next week will be a mid-afternoon kickoff at Bobby Dodd. The game will be found on RSN.

The Yellow Jackets enter this weekend are 5-4 on the season and are winners of four of their last five after starting the season 1-3. Virginia, on the other hand, enters their matchup against Liberty this weekend with a 6-3 overall record but are coming off an upset loss to Pittsburgh last Friday.

Last season, the two teams were involved in a barn burner that saw the Yellow Jackets blow a late lead and fall to the Cavaliers 40-36. The game featured a strong performance from TaQuon Marshall on the ground picking up almost 150 rushing yards. It also featured Bruce Jordan-Swilling’s first career interception and touchdown.

The story of the game, however, was the 27 second-half points that the Yellow Jackets allowed to the Cavaliers including the game-winning touchdown in the game’s final 90 seconds.

The game could also play a huge a role in the ACC Coastal race as both teams are still alive entering this weekend and if the Yellow Jackets take care of Miami this weekend, the stakes will rise for both teams. Currently, the Pittsburgh Panthers have the chance to control their own destiny but there is a path for the Yellow Jackets to make it to the ACC Championship Game.
