Georgia Tech forward Baye Ndongo is once again drawing attention across the ACC. The 6-foot-9 junior was selected to the 2025-26 Preseason All-ACC Second Team. The second straight year he’s earned preseason honors. For a program on the rise, Ndongo’s recognition is another sign that the Yellow Jackets continue to move in the right direction.
Ndongo emerged as one of the ACC’s most complete frontcourt players last season, leading Tech in both scoring and rebounding. He averaged 13.4 points and 8.9 rebounds per game, and against conference opponents he nearly lived in double-double territory with 14.4 points and 10.2 boards per outing.
The native of Mboro, Senegal, also ranked among the ACC’s best in field goal percentage and blocked shots. Proving to be the heartbeat of the Georgia Tech mens basketball team.
Georgia Tech forward Baye Ndongo makes the preseason All-ACC 2nd team and the Jackets get picked to finish 13th. I think they'll end up 9th or 10th for the record.

What makes Ndongo’s return even more exciting is the experience around him. Veterans Kowacie Reeves Jr. and Jaeden Mustaf join him in the starting rotation, while a talented 10-member newcomer group adds depth and energy. Though the preseason poll placed Tech 13th in the expanded 18-team ACC, that number only adds motivation for a squad eager to surprise the league again.
Head coach Damon Stoudamire’s program is steadily building momentum, and Ndongo’s leadership will be at the center of it. If his steady rise continues, Georgia Tech could once again find itself in the postseason mix and perhaps well above the preseason expectations.
Simply put, Baye Ndongo isn’t just an All-ACC pick; he’s the face of a team ready to prove that this years team is ready to make the March Madness NCAA tournament. Head basketball Coach Stoudamire made that the team mission this season.
