Could former Georgia Tech guard Lance Terry get drafted in NBA Draft tonight?

The 2025 NBA Draft is tonight, and the best of the best will find out their fate for their futures. One of those guys will be former Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets guard Lance Terry.

Terry played the final two seasons of his college career with the Yellow Jackets after playing his first three seasons with the Gardner-Webb Runnin' Bulldogs.

Terry became a fan favorite for Yellow Jackets fans in his time with the Yellow Jackets, though. Terry averaged 14.5 points per game last season, finishing with the highest point total on the entire roster., upping his point total from the 10.1 points he averaged as a junior. Lance has also proven that he can grab rebounds if needed, averaging 3.2 per game last season.

However, with all that said, I think that Terry could have a long night tonight, and could be waiting over the next few weeks to see if he gets a G-League contract to a team. He could be a helpful player on a developmental team, but he has never been the "go to guy" for an offense.

This draft class is just too deep when it comes to the draft class at the guard position, with even the later second round guards like Ryan Nembhard, Javin Small, or Kam Jones.

If Terry does not get drafted, then it will be the seventh straight draft that the Yellow Jackets will not have someone selected.

The sell for Terry is his playmaking ability and his presence as a driving guard that can draw fouls and play above average defense.
