I have been in the sports writing industry for close to four years now, getting my start at TheAOSN.com and INSCMagazine, where I was actually able to obtain media credentials to Georgia Tech football home games this past season. I'm currently working on my Associates degree at Georgia Highlands College, where I was the Sports Editor for three semesters, but this past semester made the jump to Editor-In-Chief. At the most recent Georgia College Press Association Awards, where I was pitted against every public college in the state of Georgia, I won 2nd and 3rd place for best sports story and 1st place in best community coverage in the sports category. On the broadcasting side, I convinced my advisor to begin a sports podcast for the school last fall, which I co-hosted that semester, but took on the solo host role this past semester and was able to place 2nd at the Southern Regional Press Institute for best podcast episode a month ago. I also do play-by-play for the Men's and Women's basketball team.
