After not being selected in the 2025 NFL Draft, former Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets defensive lineman Sylvain Yondjouen signed an undrafted free agent contract with the Carolina Panthers trying to earn a roster spot, however there could be some competition outside of the organization for Youndjouen, who was selected with the sixth overall pick in the 2025 CFL Global Draft by the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
Yondjouen still has not made a decision on which team he will play for, with him most likely using the CFL as a last resort for continuing his football career.
Yondjouen still has some hope on the Panthers, and could even make the 53-man roster if he continues to impress at rookie mini camp. The Panthers have a serious problem with depth across their entire defensive line, so they will be looking for any player that can create that for the team, and Yondjouen can do just that.
Yondjouen would appear in 51 games for the Yellow Jackets since arriving on campus in 2019. Yondjouen is coming off of what is his best season in his collegiate career, where he totaled a career high in tackles with 24. As primarily an interior lineman, Yondjeoun is someone that can create havoc in the other team's rushing attack, especially in the backfield, as he finished with a career high six tackles for loss last season.
Yondjouen will have a decision to make in the near future between the two, but either way, he could be set of for a successful professional career.
