The 2025 NFL Draft is now over, and throughout the weekend, the top prospects heading into the NFL would be waiting to hear their name called to see what awaited for the future of their football career. Some players heard their name called, but some players were not as fortunate, and will have t prove themselves as an undrafted free agent or show out in a team's mini camp. One of those players will be former Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets offensive lineman Weston Franklin.
If you are a Yellow Jackets fan, like me, you have been looking to see where some of the new faces of the Yellow Jackets would be continuing on their football careers, and it is no surprise that Franklin would not be selected in the draft, but Franklin would wind up getting a rookie mini camp invite with the Las Vegas Raiders.
Franklin started at least 12 games for the Yellow Jackets over the last three seasons, including all 13 of the games last season, as the center for the Yellow Jackets. Franklin would do well, as he was named Honorable Mention All-ACC last season. Franklin took 898 of the Yellow Jackets 924 offensive snaps last season.
Franklin comes to the Raiders with somewhat of a bright spot, as the offensive line is notably among the worst in the NFL. This means that Franklin could actually see a decent amount of time to show what he has to offer to the Raiders in the mini camp and prove himself.
